STUDYING

• Schedule your time accordingly

• Leave some time for breaks to let your body take a rest

• Study when you normally study

• Get a good night sleep before tests

• Do not stay up late if you don’t have to

• Use the time you have wisely

• Look over your class notes as well as textbooks
  - Courseware for some courses are available for a fee

• Cramming is an ineffective form of studying

• Study in proportion to the amount an assignment is worth
  - For example, if the assignment is worth very little and you are spending a lot of time on that task, you are wasting your time because you can probably spend your time doing something else worthwhile.

• Divide your study material into a series of small tasks

• Read assigned textbook chapters before the next class to become familiar with the information being covered

• Exercise and work out to increase your energy level

• Eat healthy snacks and refrain from items with high sugar content

• A proper place to study is as important as organizing time to study
  - Choose a place that is free of distractions
  - Choose a place with good lighting and a good seat
